Default Greddy turbo kit for the bbX...

http://www.i-m-racing.com/enpe13.html

They have a pic of it but then again, the only thing I know is what they show. BTW, they have a good price on InJen intakes.

Well, that site says it's for a bbX. FYI: 2nd gen. bbX is the xB (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

bbX = japan = different ECU. I'd venture to say it wouldn't work as a straight bolt-on kit for an american xB.

thats a hell of a lot of tubing.... can you say turbo lag. Talk about an ___ backwards way to put a turbo on a car.

I recently emailed Greddy and they told me that they have an xB and designing one right now. No release date yet or anything else.

Actually the kit bolts up but the tuning is off. They won't release it here without proper gains, but you can purchase the bB kit.

They couldn't flip the turbo due to the manifold I believe, hence the loop to loop.

there are still better ways to do it, i'd rather the piping be 8" longer and go around the motor

It's a backasswards way to do a system.

when my box went in for intial turbo fitment(no its not done, and i dont want to talk about it) the shop said either the tubing had to go over the top of the cover or around it (but still on top) due to the akward postion of the firewall. look under the hood and check the clearance of the exhast manifold and your firewall, there aint that much room there to begin with, and adding a turbo in the mix clogs space even more than it already is, further limiting the space in the bay

Default Shorter tubing = less turbo lag.

I'd go for shorter plumbing any day... or just put a blower on it (Hello! Steve Millen!).

i'd be an idiot if i chose to make the piping longer just for looks. Anyway, have you seen the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen sw20? It does the exact same thing, no one says that looks ugly. The only thing it is is just a pain in the ___ to work on, but the spool is faster than any other 2.0L stock turbo setup that I know of.

short piping and turbo is very imperative to quick response and short spool times.

you get a pressure drop with fmic, longer or larger piping, or anything that puts the turbo farther away from the TB, but it's cheap, that's why it's popular, not because it's efficient.

the v-mount intercooler setup is the most efficient method of intercooling a turbo without heatsoak.

since there's no intercooler, it's even more important to just get as much out of the turbo as possible, and in this case, that would be short spool time.
