girl in snow
I got my xA a few weeks ago. To be honest it was an implus buy when I was looking at Corollas. I do not know half as much as y'all when it comes to this car. We're expecting about a foot of snow out here today/tonight and I am scared. I switched to this vehicle from a 4wd Tacoma and have no idea what to expect. How is this vehicle in this type of weather...I know most of you are from the west coast and don't have winters like ours, but maybe you have read something that I haven't?
has traction control, and other stuff like that. I actually took it in the snow and it passed my test. LOL, but really it did fine; as well as the AWD Evo does. And that is a fact folks!!!!!! I slid my Evo once in the snow by accident, but 4,5,6 times on purpose.

hey just wanted to share this: my dad decided to take my xA out tonight in the snow instead of his F150...i kinda laughed at him and was like why are u gonna do that...he said my car would prob handle better...he got back 2 hours later and the first thing he said was boy I'm glad I took your car....if i had been in the truck i prob would've felt like i was gonna crash. i also drove my car all day in the snow here in PA and had no problem. i don't know about more than a few inches of snow (aka the foot of snow you were supposed to get) but in stormy, snowy conditions with a few inches here my xA handled fine...and in all cases just take the proper precautions: go slow and always have a back up ride just in case (aka a friend with a better vehicle to get around in)

I hope both of these cars handled the PA weather well, becuase my rear drive van did just fine. I have never driven a front driver and am hoping i wont miss the ability to do donuts.
I have to admit it was not so bad yesterday/today. I have not driven a front wheel drive car in forever. All I know is that my truck was horrible in the snow...minus the 4wd. Maybe next winter I'll do the snow tires, but I got the xA so late in the season it was not worth doing. 3 days till spring!

I'm currently using my all-season stock tires on my xB and it did fine in the recent storm we had in the Boston area but would definitely feel better with some extra traction if dedicated winter tires provide that.
Thanks,
