Default Turning My Aem Cai to a short ram

Well since i got water in my intake Im planing to make it a short ram by taking out the extra piping you think this will work

i guess. but that long snail semi worthless intake has a bypass in it so it shouldnt have mattered if water got to the filter. go ahead but now the filter is going to be sucking in hot air from right above the transmission

it'ds work. i'd say sell it and get the aftermarket aem or the short ram injen. you can run it as the shortened pipe only but it's going to be sucking in hot air. i'd go for the injen if you're having lots of rain cuz the filter is just behind the foglight. very high up the car.
