Default Second Gear Shifting > xB

i just got my xb 2 days ago...

and im having a little difficulty with 2nd gear (shifting from 1st to 2nd) because it doesnt go in as smoothly as the other gears..

yes. i have driven stick shift all my life.

but i was just curious if anyone is feeling it in the transition from 1st to 2nd gear.

and also..

breaking in the car.

my previous car was a saab spg (which i miss very much and hope to restore later) and the redline on my car was like at 5500.

and i do not know what is considered HI REV on the scion xB. little input please.
thanks!

My second is funky too and I have a quickshift kit. Keep rpm's under 4 till 1000 and you are cool. Thats what I did.

I knew "under 4" meant 4000rpm's, it was the "until 1000" part that threw me off

Someone posted in another thread that changing the tranny fluid to something synthetic helped with shifting dificulty.

Okay, I could have done a search for the thread, but I'm feeling lazy.
