I'm soliciting fashion advice from the car elite. Most of you know that I sold out and traded in my xB for a Velocity Red Miata, but I need some racing seats. Well, I'm technically not a sellout because the only people that drive bright red Miatas are women and ___ guys. A lot of seats are too wide because the Miata only has room for a 19.5" base, but luckily all asian people are short and skinny, so it looks like JDM is the way to go.

My interior is black leather with red stitching (seats, shift ****, hand brake, steering wheel, etc) and since my car is red, I was thinking of going with either red or black seats. A tragic homosexual that is to remain unnamed says that red is too much. It might be. They might be different shades of red too, so black would be the safer choice.

i got a black car. thats different then a red car. I think it would be too much red if u did the red seats on a red car.

 

black is my vote. Because the differences in the color red will be noticed when the top is dropped. And in my opinion to much red is a bad thing. Alot of black looks good. alot of black a little red good. Pearl red and bright red to much difference in color. If i was you i would paint the seat bars car color and get the black seats.......That would be tight

I'm starting to lean more toward the black because I'm thinking the difference between the metallic red paint and the red seat is going to bug me... but I don't know how the red seats will look until I see it next to the paint.

I have decided to go black. My xB was black. Once you go black, you can't go back. Well, if I don't get black, I'll get black gradation -- for Jesse.

 

gradation is tight too. but seriously chris I know for a fact that the color differences in the 2 reds would bother you to death. Buy the safer of the 2 that way you don't decide to sell the miata because of a bad decision. The velocity is a red like no other. Like the 88 crx si yellow. Love it or hate it but what color yellow was it? Nothing matched it.
