I have recently purchased my second (keeping first, not replacing) XB RS# and was able to program all 3 remotes to work on both carsin less than 15 minutes. My next step is to replace lock cylinders, or have keys cut with a car on each side, so that I have 3 sets of keys that work in both cars (no more guessing which set is for which car, or changing keys when changing cars, or needing extra keys or remotes on one keychain)

If you wish to program your remotes to work on both XBs please go to
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...563&highlight=
and program each car to receive the other one's remote by using the
"Add mode. To add a remote without disturbing existing remotes: " option.

Hope this is helpful to some of you 2 Box owners (and future 3 Box owners )

So if you go outside and both are sitting there and you want to take just one of them, when you go to unlock, it will unlock both?

Does it have the auto-relock feature like the tCs do? If you don't open a door within 30 seconds of unlocking, it will automatically lock itself back up?

I... I... I'm scared to do this. Actually though, we have four sets of keychains, 2 for each car, with all keys like house, etc., on each and that system is working out swimmingly so far. But I'll surely keep this thread in mind.

Thanks!

You don't need to have two boxes for this to be helpful, you can also use these instructions to program a new remote; or erase all remotes and re-program yours so that the ex's fob, that she hasn't returned, doesn't work; etc..
