Default My daughter's 07 tc and the XB on the Honda lot

I have a 2006.5 Salsa Red XB that I love a LOT. My kids just shake their heads when they look at it. They don't understand it. But they DO like it lots better than the Ford Escort 1990 that I had driven since it was new.

My daughter (#2)bought a Scion 07 tc Black Cherry this week, that she is just crazy about ( her first car).

We started looking for her car on the Honda lot first, because while my daughter (#2) didn't want a car JUST like her older sister, she liked the Honda Civic EX that Daughter #1 bought. ( That IS a nice car. And JUST the right car for a new lawyer that wants a nice car but can't get a BMW or whatnot yet. Like the other lawyers have).

BTW: There was a used XB (06 I think) manual transmission on the Honda lot, selling for about what I bought my New XB Automatic for in February. Best I could tell, there were no extensive modifications done to it.

Daughter #2 told the salesman that she wanted a sedan, preferrably with four doors, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker. She told him she wanted a new sedan that did not look like a family car. She told him she did NOT want a car that looked JUST like her sister's (Black, four door, tan interior). The man seemed to not know what to do. So he kept showing her cars like her sister's. Or used Mini Coops etc. I think he thought she looked too young to buy a car, and he didn't see much opinion register with me, so he discounted us. That's my theory anyway.

She went across the street to my Toyota dealership, looked at and drove another model or two, and then saw "her" tC. I told her that was ONLY the car I had been trying to get her interested in for the past six months.

Now there are four Scions in my Condo parking lot. Two tC's. One XB and One XA. A good majority of the cars out here are Toyota's. My cable guy commented on it when he came a few weeks ago.

Great story, I'm trying to get my wife interested in buying an xB for her in the next few months to replace the Forester she's driving now. I'd love to be a 2 box family.

get her interested?....NO PROB.
just have her take your box for a day of shopping, at several malls.(and to use the "compact car" parking spaces). then have her fill the tank befor she comes home.
then attend a "Meet and Greet" where she can meet other female owners...

good luck
