Default Test Drive

Last night went to take a xB out for a test drive. What more can I say I love it. Shawn Monroe from Thompson Toyota is the best. If anyone in MD is looking for a Scion I would highly reccomend checking him out tel him Jeff sent you.

I test drove a auto xB. I was satisfied but I want to know if the 5speed is better then the auto? Looking to put a down/hold payment in the beginning of January for my xB so I need to know what is better.

If you are doin lots of traffic go auto. If you are doing more casual/sport driving get a manual. I love my manual.

Don't think twice about manual...just get it, regardless of traffic!

It's cheaper, more fun, will last longer, and makes the car feel faster instead of sluggish with a full load of people in the car.

I agree. I would definitely stick with the 5 speed manual. It's cheaper than auto, better MPG, and, as mentioned, faster. I'll definitely be getting the 5 speed myself and I live in an area with VERY heavy traffic.

5 Speed Manual Tranny is the way to go. I think my clutch is starting to slip @ 15.5k miles... hmmm could it be because of my driving habits... launching it at 5500 RPM and power shifting to all gears?

Manual tranny is fun to drive. You will get used to it in traffic but if you're the cruiser type of guy then just get the auto and enjoy the clutch free drive.

I've driven stick for the past 15 years. I've had it with clutch jobs, bein out my car for a day or two, deciphering shifty auto mechanics, and spilling my frozen yogurt in my lap. Bring on the true relaxation of the Automatic.
Now I can be cool and hang my left arm out the window at all times.
