Default Ipod radio

Hey guys i want to buy an ipod ready radio off somebody but i read something about a vin# where you have to give to the dealer in order to get a anti-teft code? is this true? What all should i ask the seller for? Sorry im new

Umm... that is news to me. I have never heard of anything that you had to give to the dealer. I recently sold my stock headunit and I didnt know anything about it. I could be wrong on this though, but I think your okay without a vin number.

I do not believe you need a VIN or code for the iPod radio. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. You should be able to just hook it up and it will work.

Nah, you don't need that. If that was the case the owner of the HU I sold over a year ago would've had some complaints. ;)
