This Release Series 1.0 FR-S is more special than it’s #990 designation.

Look at that sweet Yuzu Yellow paint job, it’s the sign of a special Scion. This Scion FR-S is a 1-of-1,500 Release Series 1.0 cars. These limited-edition 2015 models featured a handful of special goodies to help set them apart from the standard car. First off, the Yuzu paint is R.S. 1.0 exclusive. From there, a range of TRD-branded interior bits, like the shifter and steering wheel, are added. The blacked out trims, as well, are part of the R.S. 1.0.

This Instagram Account of the Week features car number #990 of that 1,500 unit run. But it’s much more than just the special badge. This FR-S features a Rocket Bunny V1 widebody kit and multi-tone paint scheme that continues the R.S. 1.0 colorway. A very aggressive set of forged Avant Garde SR7 wheels is fitted to further improve the aesthetic.

If you’re in the Southern California area, keep your eyes peeled, you might see ryan_frs86 zooming around in his 86. Canyons, hard parking and track time are all in the cars for this modified 86. Check out his Instagram account for more pictures of his sweet ride.
