Scion Dives into the Tech of the 2013 tC Drift Car

The tC is cool and all, but it looks so much better sideways. Scion just dropped this little video recap of the drift tC they build with Hankook. I know the FR-S is Scion’s sports car now, but I can’t help but think about how cool it would be for the tC to be rear wheel drive.

It would also be cool if you could get them with thousand horsepower blocks from factory. That’ll never happen, and if it did, Scion would be likely be hailed as the most insane/most awesome automaker ever. You’d expect that kind of thing from a Ford (hello Shelby 1000), but in an import? That would be a game changer.

Fredric Asabo also talks a little bit on the difference between his four-cylinder Scion and the cars running big V8s. He’s of the opinion that with the help of nitrous and turbos, there’s not that big of a difference. Personally? I’d say needing nitrous and turbosĀ is the difference. What do you think?
