Scion FR-S Twin Competes in Evo’s “Track Car of the Year” Battle

It’s satisfying to see the FR-S’s twin, the Subaru BRZ, drifting around a track. In Evo‘s video below, the supercharged Litchfield Subaru BRZ Spec S with 280 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, competes with track-day warriors like the McLaren 12C GT Can-Am, Caterham Seven 620R, Supercharged Ariel Atom 3.5 and the Porsche Cayman S.

What else does the Scion twin bring to the McLaren and Porsche gun battle? Upgraded springs and roll bars, as well as Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (the OE tire for the Ferrari F12berlinetta) mounted on 18-inch TSW wheels. All the mods add up to a Blyton Park lap time more than five seconds quicker than a stock Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S) timed around the same track.
