Toyota once had a long history of racing prowess. The company’s cars competed in everything from Formula 1 to Rally to Endurance racing. That time has long since passed, but to celebrate this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Toyota decided to bring some retro liveries back from the grave. Although, instead of the original cars being brought to the Festival, Toyota gave a classic livery to six lucky GT86s .

According to Toyota, the vinyl wraps and decals accompany a set of lowering springs, new exhaust, and retro wheels. Each of the cars has been done up to pay homage to one of Toyota’s original racing cars: a version of a 2000GT racecar, Ove Andersson’s 1970 Celica Rally car, one from Toyota’s IMSA days, a more current 1980s rally livery, and the widely popular Esso Ultron Tiger Supra livery from Super GT.

All the cars will be able to drive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 25th. The day after, they become static displays for the GT86 Drift Experience at the Festival.

What do you all think of Toyota bringing back these classic racing liveries and putting them onto the GT86/FR-S?
