Probably a blowout in favor of the GTI.

Depends on the GTi-... why? Because I used to own a jetta, which is basically the same thing + 70lbs. Yes, that's all the difference.

150hp 1.8T - Scion wins easily.
176hp 12v VR6 - 3170lbs. Close, but edge to tC. My best was 15.6 with I/E on my old 12v Jetta.

180hp 1.8T- VW wins. For some odd reason, this one dishes out 180whp, not crank HP. VW wanted to keep the VR6 as the highest-rated motor.

200hp VR6 - VW wins.

Any 1.8T with a chip will destroy you until you're boosted.

Its a software
apr software has 2 modes chip mode and stock/stealth mode u can put ur car in stock/stealth mode or to chip mode by

Step 1: Press and hold the "set" button on your cruise control. After approximately five seconds, the "check engine" light on your dash will begin to blink once per second. This will tell you that you are activating program one. This blinking sequence will continue for approximately five seconds.

After this five second interval, the "check engine" light will begin blinking twice per second. This will indicate that you have activated the second program. This process is continued to access any remaining programs you may have purchased. (three blinks = program three, four blinks = program four).

Step 2: Once you have activated the desired program, simply release the "set" button. The "check engine" light will go off, and you will be locked in that program until you change it.

It's that simple

Sooo if u redlined your car it will erase everything when u switch back to stock mode so when the dealership checks if u redlined the car they cant blame on u that u did..the APR chip is the best one to get its gives the most power...

Tcdepo your brother has a really nice set up and i know the h valve does a big difference....

If no one knows what it is...

The N75 valve/H Valve is the wastegate frequency valve.
It opens / closes the internal wastegate on the turbocharger to change the amount of exhaust gases go through the exhaust turbine.
The more exhaust gases through the turbine, the faster it spins and produces positive boost on the compressor side.

Changing out the N75 valve gives different boost curve response.
Usually the N75-H or "race" valve removes surges from the boost engaging.
You do get some more peak and holding boost which can lead to power...

Its a amazing what a little valve can do to the 1.8t's

Look for yourself. I'm not making it up.

This isn't even close to the first time that a motor is under-rated.

N75 valves are inexpensive and help with boost consistency a great deal.

Chips raise the boost (making the situation slightly more volatile) and also cost $500.

Most tuned 1.8T's have both.
