i was on motortrend.com and saw that toyota maybe releasing a four door scion call the xR for 2009 . anyone hear of this?

Scion stated in an August addition of "Automotive News" that the tC replacement is going to be a mix between a matrix and a Subura sti type rally wagon!

 

xR would be awsome if the R stands for Rally.. Perhaps AWD...

 

can't wait!

 

a possible magnum knock off? if the price is cheaper i'll go with one when i get in my older years, as of right now i am diggin the magnum, for the HEMI and the fact that it shuts down half the engine unless you need it. i wonder if toyo/scion will incorporate this gas saving design, and advanced computers into the xR.

 

 

I'm no expert by any means but if you are refering to the xR, isn't that the Matrix ? Toyota's Matrix is called the xR.

The Caldina GT-4 would cost too much to justify as a Scion, perhaps the Daihatsu YRV Turbo or Storia X4?

And as for the Xr plus AWD thing, sort of funny you said that since Xr is used for for the AWD Matrix package.

It says XR and 4WD on the car. XR is also for the 2WD.
