So I have finally saved enough cash to spend on a new car and I just cant decide. I love both the 370z and the evo10. They are the same price and have about the same power. The evo is extremely easy to mod and ifthe 370z is anything like the 350 it will be as well. Jus as a little backup info as to my dislikes with each. First the 370 is very small in terms of cargo area, that may be a problem if I want to carry anything . Its trunk can be just about filled if my girlfirend puts her purse back there. The evo onthe other hand has 4-doors so I could take 3 of my firends for a spin if I wanted to(they already want one). The problem with the evo is that Im still not sold on its looks. This is not my daily driver so I want something that prforms well and looks good. Both do that the the 370 loks better and the EVO has more of a funtion value.

What do you guys think, I actually do care about your opinion because I asked my girlfriend and she said to get a crossfire instead of either!?!? I know, shes crazy. I have driven both and love them both except for the minor issues that I stated.

 

if it was only between those 2 id say 370Z just cuz i like the lil rev match thing
id say if u like evo's get a used one
like a ix or a viii

Would never buy a used evo. Almost all have been abused way to hard, not to mention I like the look of the 10 better. I hate how boxy my friends evo8 is.

is an older subaru (new ones are ugly imo) an option? ive seen more stock STi/WRX more so than stock Evos (not as beat i bought used im assuming).

hard to say really...

the evo x has awd, and being that it is already turbo'ed, making more power will be easier and cheaper.

but the z has classic FR layout, and also, looking less aggressive and lacking the big rear spoiler, looks a bit classier, which is a plus for impressing the ladies.

 

They are both cool but the mitsu has so many more usable features-4 wheel drive (bad weather compliant) 4 doors and two seats (more friend compliant), a full size trunk (more safety luggage storage compliant) and if you delete the rear wing less cop attention (more anti-ticket compliant)

The nissan is cool, fast, sporty and I like nissans but it's not a very useful car compared to the other one.

I think the mitsu gets better mileage too-drive it easy and it's just a 4 cylinder sedan.

haha no one seems to be really saying one or the other. You all keep making more points for each car that make it sound better then the other. I will have to go with the crossfire now since I cant decide.(joke)

I think Im going to go back and test drive both again and see it one really sticks out, then Im going to talk price again and see if one dealership tries to undercut the other, not that price is a deciding factor but it certainly would sweeten the pot.

 

with only the two cars as the option.. i still go with evoX, but most that posted here recommends other cars lol..

 

1) this car will not see snow or salty roads
2)seating will be nice
3)trunk space is nice but this is my play car not DD so its not needed.
4) yeah not a big fan of the wing, hence why I think the z looks better

 

If it were me-EVO (with a new trunk lid ordered to get rid of the rear spoiler)

 

looks like the z is gonna be good for you.. i think you're more on a aero and sleek design..

but the z new design is just a disappointment to me, the old ones looks better imo.. power wise its much better

 

If its a play car get the Z. I wouldn't consider the Evo for a play car it just has too much purpose in it. Well maybe if I was married and had to justify something to a S.O. but if that were the case I doubt I'd be buying a play car.

 

oh and I saw someone post something about the evo getting better gas millage. Well I checked and according to the web sites the evo gets 16/22 and the Z gets 18/26!! The Z gets almost as good as MPG out of a 3.7 as my tC's 2.4. Thats solid engineering. Still I cant let go of the EVO. Maybe I should gamble on a 2:1 shot and I could buy both.
