Bored at work and decided to make a thread. My buddy had an 88 white pickup and the timing chain started to rattle. He didnt really care abput the truck so he kept driving it and put it this way it wasnt only the timing chain lol...so he took it out one night and it finally died..so they decided to pop start it going 40 and it kinda worked haha...here is the video on what happened
So he pickup up a new motor and didnt feel like doing the swap so i bought the truck plus the motor for $500...So far i replaced the timing chain with steel guides, new water pump, new oil pump, new front cover, and new starter..I got the motor all set up and in the truck...went to turn it over and leaked fuel everywhere...so i have to fix the one injector and go for it again. My plans are most likely to get the motor running strong paint the bed white and drive it around for a while...will post pics when i find my cable to my d40

 

i got the motor running just threw code 52 which is for the knock sensor...going to get that fixed and finish painting the bed
