I'm more interested in this "two stage ignition system", what ignition has to do with traction, and why it's >> AWD.

^ the two step ignition system allows you to out the gas pedal to the floor and the revs stay at where you tell it too ie 3200 rpms and when you press the release button you get a prefect launch all the time. and you can control the rpms, timing and alot of other stuff. im sure you have seen it b4 dragsters have it if you listen carefully you can hear their rpms stay in one place.

this is basically what it is, you can hear it bounce the rpms but never go above the set point and its gives a kiler launch.

its not the burn out that you have to see, you're supposed to listen to the rpms thats what the 2 step does

its all good man, dont be so quick to jump all over people. But yea, that 2nd video is the right one. Could've used that ignition yesterday at the 1/8 mile track. took a few runs to get the r/t down and consistent.

Ok, so a two stage ignition and awd are not mutually exclusive, so it is therefore possible, and possibly desirable to have a two stage ignition on an AWD car?

Ok, are you saying it "wouldn't" help?

So the idea of setting the rpm is to have as high an rpm as possible that doesn't break the traction?

working at a subaru dealership and learning the mechanics of the car, i would 100% say go with the WRX, there is no doubt in my mind, even with stock perfomance they make great power. and the handling is great, AWD and the Boxer engine is a great combo, it keeps the car level and helps keep yo uin control. they have great perfomance upgrades through Subaru that keeps eveything under warenty (ie, SPT parts, intake, exhaust, suspension, etc) and they are sexy to look at, and fun to drive. id go with the Subaru (they are safe too, 5star crash ratings)
