I still don't get the "bustle" rear end on the Cube. Why make the vehicle 6 inches longer without making that length usable for cargo space? Somebody didn't have their thinking cap on.

You can thank our NA bumper laws for that. With decent rims (this one needs a drop)
it looks better and better.

You can thank our NA bumper laws for that. With decent rims (this one needs a drop)

Problem is, even the JDM version gets the bustle rear, bumper laws or no:


Considering that the Cube has a US-only body design, they didn't have to put the bustle on the JDM version!

i saw 3 cubes at the dealers and.... well... i dig the outside/body... but i dont know about the interior..... there is so much space that seems 'unused' or not allocated right onit... it reminds me of the wasted space on the newer beetles, where you have like 3 feet behind the steering wheel (the dash) that has absolutely nothing on it until thhe windshield comes down... i duno..... i did like the upright seating position though, like the box.

... my dad was considering getting a smart car but he said for the same price (about $2k down, ~$200 a month, leasing) we could get the cube...

so he is going to test drive one soon....
