Hey. My brother owns a 2002 Audi A4 and he was wondering if anyone knows of any problems with the the engine, and if he should sell it soon.

 

All I know is that both Audi, and VW are notorious for electrical problems. Other than that, I imagine the motor should be pretty solid.

 

their engines are good. everything else isnt.

I traded a '99 A4 when I bought my tC. It had 55,000 miles. I had 4 different electrical problems in one year, after the warranty expired of course. The last one was a short in the ABS controller causing the ABS light to go on and the ABS to not function intermittantly. Cost for a new controller would have been expensive, I remember a quote around $1200.
