Thats true. a friend of mine dropped a K24 motor and trans from a TSX in his EK hatch and that thing was fast.

add some cam work and new half shafts and that thing was a winner! he used it for solo autocrossing and was best in his class (modified street i think it was.) he was beating EVO's, STi's, M3's etc etc.

when he sold it the new owners dynoed it "stock" and it pulled 199 HP at the wheels. this alsoi had a Civic Si intake on it, K&N air filter and a junk DC Header

no. easy to find parts, and will swap into anything. its been around so long, and they are very reliable, even for a noob to swap.

but as far a technology goes, to hell with that, give me a bare 350 ci bare block, and stand back, and be ready for some magic.

in my opinion b series and gm 350's are the best motor ever. simple reliable, and time tested. the very foundation of our lifestyle can be cotributated to those motors. enough said.

i understand that it is easier and cheaper to mod older motors but my statement still stands as that the current automotive industry is superior to the past
i'm not only talking about in terms of power here, i'm talking about the whole package
reliability, gas consumption, hp/tq per liter, and emissions

manufactures makes kits available to the people who want to put k-motors into their eg/ek/whatever not the other way around

i'm not ******* your b-series btw, i still got love for the frankenstein motors and itrs

dont buy a hatch. by an ek sedan. ultimate sleeper car. thats what im gonna get. swap a turbo gsr motor in it and it will run in the 11's. with room for up to five people, and none of that moving the seat forward to get to the back.

ive allways been a fan of the coupes, but after getting jacked twice im feeling a sedan.

Actually I love Coupe cars such as the hatch, because I don't like sedans at all. Exept when I have to have a sedan as a mandatory rule, such as when buying an EVO or an Sti, then u have no choice but to get it. I'm just thinking on getting a VX Hatch, and use a B16, or a Frank. Engine in it, such as B18B1 with a B16 Head.
