Damn that is a long ride... I knew this bike messanger when I worked downtown.. His bike was worth 5k.. was worth more then the car I had at the time...

 

we need to get you on a bike asap..

 

Imagine how many hundreds of miles those people spend on that seat....I could imagine their bikes to be quite pricey.... 5k sounds like an investment!

indeed. lol he has the hotelroom booked and all, he's riding back 2 days after. it take me and hour and then some to get there by car I can't imagine on a bike.

 

It's 6 hours on bike. Give or take.

110 miles @ 20mph = 5.5 hours.

 

Two things.
1) He won't do it one shot.
2) It's not exactly a straightway, what is he going to take? 495?

 

20mph is ridiculous to keep at a constant pace unless your on a highly competitive level.

15-18mph is definitely doable on AVERAGE.

 

if he take the LIE he will be stuck in traffic for 4 hours. I don't care if he is on a bike or not..

I made a mistake on my post, either way....impossible for this guy to do it in 6 hrs

 

If he's doing a 110 mile ride, he should be able to maintain 20mph overall. Like I said, 6 hours, give or take. 18mph average is still right around 6 hours.

 

theres gonna be 3 other people with him, but hes pretty big into it, i wanna say the furthest hes been out is to huntington from queens and then back. i know he'll do it, in what amount of time is the question

 

I say 7-8....we could even get a pool going!

I say he does it in less then 7 hours. there are no real big hills once her get into LI.. so it should be a smooth run.
