Default Car Choices

Well, I'm starting to look into the car market because I'm planning on buying a car sometime this summer or earlier if I find an amazing deal. I'm looking for some suggestions in the used car market for the following specs:
-Under 10k when haggled down (maybe a bit more)
-Preferably 6spd manual, 5spd is ok too
-Preferably sedan but coupe would be ok too
-Peppy, kind of sporty, and fun to drive
-Above 25mpg
-Run up to 150,000 miles without major problems (probably Japanese)
-Under 50k miles (need it to last about 7~8yrs more years)
-Not older than 2000 model year
So far I've found that and 04 Sentra SE-R Spec V matches what I want but I'm just not sure about the 150k miles part. Does anybody have any other suggestions for cars to look into? If I don't find anything I like or if I fall in love with the xD, I'm planning on buying that and just financing it.

Well, GM cars have been known to crap out at around 130k... And I don't need it to just make it, I need it to make it with no major problems.

the sentra should be fine. nissans last reasonably long....my 99 altima has 82k so far, my neighbor's 92 altima has 180k + and still going.

civics are always a popular choice, maybe you can find an Si somewhere
something along the lines of this:

The MS Protege is a good one but they're very hard to find, like almost impossible. Impreza and Lancer are both to expensive and I'd assumer the eclipse would be too. I looked into Celica and if I tried really hard I could find one in my price range but I don't like it THAT much. Dodge Neon . I don't like the styling of the old Si and my friend has one and says its not really a good performer either. VW's too expensive. Prelude is a good one but most of them have high miles nowadays, like over 75k. Ford Focus . Mini is WAY too expensive and insurance would kill me. I'm pretty sure the Spec V is the best choice for me. I found an 06 with 13k miles and haggled the guy down to $13.7k. GREAT deal. Anyway now I'm just waiting for the xD pics to come out so I don't regret my purchase this summer when the new Scions come. Going to look at the Spec this Sunday.

I test drove the yaris a little bit ago. It's a fine car but its super loud in the city, its sounds like a tractor. It's VERY slow, granted I test drove an auto but I can't imagine the manual being too much better. But for the record, it does have A/C.

well, you didn't specify whether or not the car was nice looking, but the dodge neon r/t puts out like 150 hp which is okay, and the ford focus svt has 170 hp, 6 spd manual, xenon headlights, you can get them in 3 or 5 door body styles.

also, a new subaru impreza base is lik $18k, and so was the lancer ralliart, which is about what a nissan sentra se-r spec v costs new also right? the vw was kinda fluffer because i don't feel like they have good longevity.

I don't want a Neon or a Focus because they are Dodge and Ford and I said I want it to last 150k miles. That number may be pushing it but I need at least 120k out of it and both of those will give me problems. Impreza and Ralliart will both still be high above the $13.7 I can get a spec V for. When I looked into the impreza, I had to go up to some pretty high mileages to get it in my price range. As for my original $10k price requirment, that is if the car is actually used, meaning like over 30k miles and older than an 05. If he car is almost new I 'm willing to go up to like $14.5.
