it really doesn't matter, those carfax reports aren't always very accurate. my car has been hit twice, i checked my cars history and it brought up nothing other than when it was registered.

i'll save you the trouble...you are buying a used sports car, doesn't matter if it was ever in a collision, chances are it has been through the ringer anyway. people don't buy sports cars like this for sunday drives.

^ WTF, a WRX with a 2.0L engine??? Carfax isn't very smart is it...

 

After running a 2.0 for about ten years in their engines, Subaru increased the (America only?)RS and WRX from 2.0L to 2.5L in 2006.

 

Yep, thats right. Before Subaru got really serious about selling tubro rally spec'd imprezas (WRX/STI) here in the USA the turbo imprezas all over the world had a 2.0L engines. They did this because the engines used in the WRC (World Rally Championship) are limited to 2.0L. "Little" Rally 2.0L. engines put out 300hp by the way. Subie up'd the engine capacity for better reliability and to make it easier and cheaper for them to meet exhaust emission restrictions here in the States. Interesting new info, the '08 "WRX" in japan has a 2.0L rated at 250hp while we will get the 2.5L 225hp engine.
