Yea its a Daewoo. When they first came out that's what all the media coverage kept on mentioning. But they've done stuff like this for years, with Toyota n other brands. GM n the rest of the American companies for some odd reason just can't make a small car with a small engine, only big 4cylinders.

 

Lots of car makers have done this. Here's some examples: the Ford Festiva (Mazda 121, Kia Pride); the Toyota Corolla (Chevy Nova, Geo/Chevy Prizm); the Isuzu Rodeo (Honda Passport Vauxhall/Opel Frontera); the Toyota Camry (Daihatsu Altis - what a sexy name!); the Nissan Quest (Mercury Villager); as well as the incalculable number of corporate twins and triplets throughout the corporate landscape.

i am well aware of the fact that the badges get slapped on cars that are not in fact made by that brand, but DAEWOO>!!!?? lol

but sheesh, when you thikn about it, how the HEL do they get away with that???

after daewoo was bought by gm after 02 gm sent the daewoo brand to korea in which thats the car of choice (as i hear) for koreans. but they bring cars back as other names but the same thing, the aveo uses a daewoo harness for the radio too i think thats funny....why do even know that from daewoo??? man i need a life....

 

Yeah, a bunch of Suzuki's are Daewoos, too. The Forenza, the Verona, and the Reno are at least. It happened when GM bought Daewooo, and GM gave Chevy the Aveo in that relationship.

Mostly crap cars if you ask me, but I really like Suzuki (just not those models). Stuff like the new Swift.... and yes, I even like the Aerio.
