I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Besides how disgusting it looks... why give ricers even more reason to slap type yar stickers on their buckets?

Even though Im a Lexus/Toyota loyalist, I would hate to admit that the new Civic Type-Rs are superior to the Scion TC. Scions needs to catch up in terms of performance

Superior in performance, and radically more expensive. Surely that is a basis for equal comparison. Also the RSX is only fractions faster in the 1/4 than a tc... Can't say the same for the slalom though, lole.

Oh and the yellow is lame, and that's a euro civic. Doubt that's going to make it to the US.

We certainly have never seen the cream of the crop of Civics before here in the states, so I wouldn't expect it either. The Type R can hang out in Europe with the much more refined European Ford Focus...

If it was not yellow it would look better. Honda is going with a more futuristic design whereas domestics are doing retro. The rest tend to stay right here and now.

Put AWD or a high-revving V6 and then maybe it would be a nice Type R.

give it to me in championship white and white honda wheels from the EK CTR and take off the "look at me" APC inspired type R sticker it may work

i like the idea that honda is keeping the hatchback history with the type R.

I actually really really like this car. I was debating on waiting for the civic hatchback (same body style as this type-r) or buying the xB. The hatchback, which at the time was only slated for a UK release, is the only new civic I'd buy. If it comes to the US, I don't know that I'd trade in my xB, but I'd be a little green with envy.

Thank God that it probably won't make it into production.

IDK what you guys are smoking but that is one sweet car. Has anyone seen the episode of Top Gear where they drive the new civic? It has some pretty sweet stuff like those meters that show optimal gas milage vs. performance. So if you use the green meter you can shift at all the right points to get the best MPG or shift along with the red meter and get the best performance. Anyway if this Type R is just the same thing but with better performance it'll kick ___ for sure. And come on guys it doesn't look THAT bad.

Here, Here.

I think it looks amazing and the electronics/technology you mentioned only make it more appealing. Theres many great ideas that are not hard to implement, and I'm glad they're at least starting to think about them, if not using them in the production design.
