DL = 4 Door TC

DL = 4 Door TC
I just spoke with my local Scion dealer because my wife wants a super white TC. He said that according to his reps, the DL will be released at the end of this summer and it is said to be a 4 cyl. 4 door TC. He said it will be a little longer and have 4 doors but be virtually the same as the TC. He also said that the FJ Cruiser (http://www.autooninfo.net/NAEd200502FJCruiser.htm) is a Toyota concept that will be released as a Toyota. There are currently no other plans for any Scion's beyond the DL.

I could care less. I have an xB. I was just relaying the info. He just had a meeting with his reps and said that is what they were talking about. He could be blowing smoke. Who knows, but I'm trying to buy a TC from him, so if he didn't have that info, I don't think he would have said that. He thought I may want to wait to see the DL since my wife want's a 4 door but really likes the TC. He may have been saying that to make me wait so I didn't buy the car from him......... But, where is the logic in that? Anyways, like I said, I could care less what the DL is. I have my box!

4 door tC? You mean this one?
I have this feeling that the tC was the production guinea pig for the Lexus LFS concepts. Panoramic sunroof? A test of a future Lexus option is my guess. Styling? The tC looks more expensive, like a Lexus rather than a cheap compact car. Now look at the new IS. It looks like a 4-door tC and is based on the LFS styling. So the tC is probably based off of the LFS concepts as well. Baby Lexus? Heh.

It's called the Avensis.

FYI, the Avensis and the tC are not the same car; the tC is merely "based on the Avensis platform." They do not share parts or any significant characteristics.
