Very cool looking car. I just hope they offer it with the rotary engine. They are touting it as the new RX-7 and one of the defining features of the 7's are their rotary engines.

Looks like GM's owning of Mazda is influencing the design ideas.

Anyone else think that's a copy of the Crossfire?

Umm, GM does not own Mazda, they are in no way affiliated. Ford and Mazda on the other hand have affiliations in the U.S.
No this car looks nothing like the ugly Crossfire, it's a beauty!

Umm, yes, just like Smart Cars are Chrysler... American engineered, I think not. But if you prefer stupid looking boxes over sports cars than okay.

Hot.

But then again most concepts are. I don't see all the neat goodies in the interior getting produced any time soon.

I hope they prove me wrong.

Mazda's usually in the habbit of making the production models look even better than there concepts. Take for instance the rx8 concept, cool concept but the final car looks so much better, and looks like it's worth so much more than it is, not to say it isnt expensive. It would be cool to have all of those displays on the steering wheel, but like you said, not likely to happen. 1 1/2 seat's in the back are a little odd, if it's going to be a sports car it really doesn't need the seats. Leave 'em out and just have a huge cargo space, that'd be nice for a small sports car, something most car's in this catagory don't have.

It looks like a 350Z (rear) and RX8 (front) got it on...

Not feeling it.
