Default Found a cheap FC for sale..what do you guys think?

SO there is a guy selling a 91 FC not to far from me..only asking $1000

Only problem is he has 3 threads on RX7club.and, originally, each specified a different problem...one said it had a rebuild but had some transmission issues (unspecified) another said it just had trans problems (again unspecified) and a new clutch..and the first one I saw said it needed a rebuild on the motor.

Of course once I Pointed this out he changed the info on all 3 threads to just the rebuild. Trying to get a straight answer from this guy..

With all that BS..if the car is straight you guys think I should offer him $900? It's bone stock and if it just needs a rebuild seems like a good project..

any project car experts/fc rx7 experts feel free to chime in XD

edit: nm..looks like someone else is gonna take it..oh well..another day

Well hows the body? I would be rebuilding the trani and engine anyways if I was buying a used car that old. So if the body is in great shape where you can spend the bulk of your money on engine and trani I think its not a bad deal. Pics would help too.

The car itself looks pretty good..no noticeable dings or anything..and apparently the trans is fine it's just the motor is the issue..looks like it may be getting bought by someone else but if that doesn't go through I still might consider it..it'll just be awhile before a motor gets put in from me lol don't know how much time or money I will have to spend but for the price what I would be getting is a steal.

Id jump on it. I love that body style RX7. For 1g thats not bad in my book. The exterior looks good and so does the interior. I want a project car so bad. But not until I move out of Key West and buy a house.

A cheap rotary usually means a more expensive build... just my experience.

doesnt sound like a bad deal if you're looking for a project car.... that is certainly a unique use of the double din in the dash... LOL

Wow I didn't realize this thread was still getting bumped lol

The guy seemed a little shady so I decided not to take it..also thought it would be a better financial decision not to get into a project right now.

Gonna do a few more mods to the tC and then start saving for school and a house
