Default GTO vs. tC

okay. i've been driving my tC for almost a year now and done a few mods to it (CAI, header, exhaust, etc.) it's quick and no complaints but recently i started making a little more money and i'm just dying for some REAL power. The GTO seems to be a pretty good source for this at a decent price and has the potential to be faster than the tC ever will...

So what do ya'll think... should i keep my tC and go turbo or go for the muscle of the GTO?

I think the GTO looks too much like a Cavalier.

Man, I've got to say stick with the tC. From what I understand the GTO has some reliability issues, as most Aussie cars brought here seem to. It's a great car from a power stand point, and RWD is nice, but still. Stay with the Toyota product.

Just my two cents.....

Our new GTO is a rebadged Holden Monaro from Australia.

I don't know dude...if you care anything about practicality and have even the slightest worries about gas...stick with the tC. If not...get the goat. That's a bad ___ car. Make sure you get the 6.0, too.

... which is also rebadged as a chevy lumina in middle eastern markets. why do you want a gto? surely there's a better car that offers what you like.

well.. the old school GTO's were my favorite muscle car and the looks of the new one has really grown on me and then the 6.0 LS2 engine doesn't hurt my feelings either

I like GTO's looks. It's a very understated car...and most people need a second glance to figure out what it is. I almost bought one from a friend of mine who was selling it for $20k...but then he changed his mind, and a few months later I had a tC.

You realize that your insurance company will probably rape you if you buy a GTO right?
