In one single circumstance, yup, it beats it. Now look at the video posted that brings ALL circumstances to what the GTR is about.
Then go watch the nurburgring laps.

And thats a single instance of the vette beating the GTR

From testing Vett:
0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds

And the GTR:
0-60 mph (97 km/h) times around 3.5 seconds. Quarter mile, 11.5 at 124mph


I cant find quarter times for the vette.

those GTR-s look insane. so i dont get the tranny on this thing it says 6 peed automatic with double clutch paddle shifting? so is this thing only in automatic?

I watched the video finally. Its funny how its the same argument with the tC against other cars. Those times the GTR lost were from rolls!!!! Again its funny how for some cars to win it can only do it in a single set condition!!!!!

I'm really not all that impressed with it. I'd really like to know how they got the price so low on it. It has top notch quality performance parts on all corners of the car, hand built engines, yet it's as cheap as a Boxster. So far all the reviews I've seen about the car, say it's completely soul-less. For the money, I'd take an Atom without hesitation.

You cant compare the GTR to the ATOM, as far as price is concerned.
The GTR has the ability to be daily driven, haul groceries, keep you warm in winter and cold in summer, dry in the rain and still handle DAMN close to the ATOM. The atom is not a street car, so these cars are two totally different beasts.

You cannot realistically compare these two cars. Very few people buy the GTR for pure track. And the ATOM is only purchased for track.
Its like comparing the GTR (or any car) to a Formula 1 car.

How are you impressed with the ATOM when it is only .3 seconds faster and offers absolutely nothing but a race track experience?

Where as the GTR offers the track, the street, the drag strip, the cruising, the awe factor!!

A better question is, how are you NOT impressed with the Atom? It's made how a car should be made. The GTR is nothing more than a computer controller tank.

For the track probably atom.

But for everything else the gtr.

Cars with a back seat are a plus =D

I also like the interior of the gtr a lot more than the corvettes.

Oh well to each his own.

^ lol, anyone who likes the interior of the vette more than the GTR is on crack. Vettes interiors are about the equivalent to a Kia Rio.

The only cool thing I do like about the corvette interior, is the HUD that displays on the windshield ^^

I think the GTR borders on Grand Tourer (hence the tank part), and the Atom is simply a street legal Go-Kart, so I find it hard to compare the two. They both fit their niche very well any way you look at it.

Well technically that logic is right.

But the gtr did pwn the vette on the nurburgring.

It also performed better on the slalom, if i'm not mistaken.

I just think overall the gtr is a better car, because it beats it on different sets of conditions.

If I had a gtr, I wouldn't mind losing to a vette. A vette is definitely no laughing matter either.

I am interested to see what the Blue Devil's numbers will look like though =D
