My mom is thinking about buying a new car. Since she knows nothing about cars, I've been doing the research for her. I heard about the Honda Fit and I like it! It looks like a pretty sweet and versitile car! So anyways, today I was getting onto the highway, and I see a Honda Fit in the lane next to the slow lane ahead of me. So I think to myself "Whoa, cool! I get to see one up close in person!"

....little did I know...

I pull up about a car length behind the Fit in the slow lane. I get to look at it for about 2 seconds. All of a sudden, the Fit jumps into my lane and hits the brakes pretty hard. I hit my brakes and swerve onto the shoulder.
Obviously, I got a little upset. I honked my horn, flashed my high beams, merged into the next lane, and pulled up besides the Fit to see what kind of idiot driver was behind the wheel...
...A little asian chick barely able to look over the steering wheel, oblivious to other cars around her; much less that she almost ran me off the road. Way to re-enforce a negative stereotype, lady!

If it were me I'd probably have at least flipped her off. I hate people that can't drive and insist on going onto the highway.

i love the fit. had the Fit been around when i was car shopping and i didnt have the RS3 to pick from i may have picked one up.

lol, all cars have bad drivers, ive had scions cut me off, and BMWs(the so called arrogant elitist ones) let me over, etc

 

It does tick me off when I have to pass someone while driving in the RIGHT lane...

some cars have good drivers, while others dont, it is not hte car itself.. unless its a Merecedes Benz S500, then you know to watch out .. at least where i live, all those damn *****s who are richer than money itself driving them like they own the road going like 35mph in the fukin LEFT lane!!!

anyways, depending on how large or small your mom is i think the fit would be a great car for her, it is a nice minivan/car imho.. i wouldnt ever get it cuz its a "girls" car imo, but HEY, your moms a girl, so its all goood

 

Maybe the title of the thread is misleading...
It wasn't the fact that she was driving a honda and she was a bad driver; it was the fact that she was asian. Like I said...way to reinforce a negative stereotype.

 

Thats how all rich people are trust me. All they can do is talk about thier money to their friends on a Razor phone going 35 mph in their Mercedes SLR McLaren or Lambo Gallardo atleast where I live. ALL I CAN SAY IS THEY CANT TAKE THEIR MONEY WITH THEM WHEN THEY DIE!!!!!!!

 

Asians aren't bad drivers at all. They're just too short to see over the steering wheel.

 

My next door neighbor has cataracts and drives a Grand Marquis. Point being, if you drive a Fit, you BETTER be a good driver.

 

Are slating off people a common occurrence here ? Now it makes me reconsider to be part of this forum.
