I think I'm also going to re-paint the front bumper. The bumper was replaced somewhere along the line with the DX bumper (non-painted plastic), and it looks cheap. I'm just going to prime, rattle can and clear the bumper, just to get it to match the rest of the car. I think it'll really improve the front end a lot.

This car is killing me. The brakes have proven to be insanely retarded. You need to remove the entire steering knuckle from the car, then remove the half-shaft from the hub assembly, then remove the wheel bearing/hub unit from the rotor...all to just replace the front discs. I'm going to pick up some new wheel bearings today. Might as well change them while I've got them exposed.

Those 4 bolts are on the back of the knuckle. They're impossible to gain access to unless you remove the CV shaft. The CV shaft is impossible to remove unless you remove the entire knuckle.

Okay, brakes are done. I ended up bringing it in for the work because they proved to be way too much of a PITA to do myself. The rear calipers were actually completely seized up and had to be replaced. They changed the front rotors, pads and bearings, rear rotors, pads and calipers, and flushed the whole system for me. It cost me a lot more than I had hoped, but at least the car reliably stops now and I can start using it.
New wheels on the car. Cheap ___ Motegi's, but they're incredibly light weight, OEM size, and much better looking than those retarded chrome wheels.

Brand new rotors/pads/calipers

Brand new rotors/pads

Probably won't be for a little while because the brakes were more than I thought they'd be, but next up: Fix the rusted section on the fender, replace headlights, get HIDs, replace speedometer, and paint the front bumper.

lol, painted calipers = rice
And I'm not worried about the mileage. I don't plan on ever selling this car. I got it to run it into the ground. Besides, I can probably just roll the mileage to whatever the car has on it.
