Default Just got a new Car... which means... New Mods! (Non Scion)

Hey guys,
As you may know we just picked up a 2005 XC90 AWD "Package transporter" and we couldn't be more excited.

We ordered an HID kit for it but it turns out that the dealer in Illinois was mistaken - the car already had bixenons upon arrival... so on to the next mod...

As you see here, the XC90's have a big problem with "Egg Yolk" - look at that nasty orange bulb!

Well, we had just the solution - our LED turn signal kit in OEM Amber (this car has to be street legal... wouldn't want to get pulled over when rushing to get your orders on the 6:30 truck!)... Here are the results

Ours vs. normal (using the flash to really illuminate inside the housings)

Pretty noticeable, no? Here's another shot:

Much better... how about a closeup

Clean as a whistle. And now, they blink on and off sharp, like OEM LED Tail Lights on the new M3's. Pretty slick. I have a video for anyone who wants to see. I can email it.

Anyways, can't wait to do more mods on this thing!
Thanks for lookin!
JL

while i'm not a fan of the xc90's, or volvo in general congrats. Just don't add anything stupid like a 3ft wing on the roof and you'll be okay.

And the tail lights look pretty good,

The bulbs are normally $40 a set (with load EQ's, lifetime warranty, instructions, taps, etc), but right now they're only $30 at www.jlevisw.com (My Site)

Thanks!

Excellent.

If I were to get an SUV for non-off road purposes the XC90 would be on a short list.

I guy I work with had one. The front tires always rubbed. Among other things it eventually ____ed him off. Always had various little problems with it. He traded it in for a G35. Before the S60R he had an Audi S4.

I was thinking the same thing - sure it's a nice car, but if I'm going to dream I might as well own a Bugatti Veyron

Not any good ones, but I'll take some soon

Btw, for a practical dream car i'd get a 996TT (Porsche) and probably do a full techart conversion.

Alright cool.

Practical dream car for me would be an STi wagon. But, for more practical purposes, i could deal with a regular STi.

I don't think an STI wagon is available in the US.

I'd be happy with a lightly modded Forester XT sitting on some STI springs/struts personally. Perfect sleeper.
