Mugen is just a specialty Honda tuner. They aren't a branch of the company like Mazdaspeed is to Mazda or Nismo is to Nissan. They do work hand-in-hand with Honda engineers and stuff but they are a seperate company. Kinda like how Mazdaspeed was before Mazda bought them.

that is true, but unlike mazdaspeed, mugen was started by the son of the founder of honda so the ties aren't just on a professional basis. they are much closer. you could buy mugen parts and mugen edition cars from a dealer, unlike spoon sports parts, who also works closely with honda, which you cannot, so many pople consider mugen the racing division of honda. thier official branch is just plain and simple honda racing co but they do not really make parts for the average consumer.

 

honda racing is pretty much race cars only no street cars. they also do superbike parts as well as sport boat stuff.

 

actuall RALLIART has been avaible for quite sometime when I was lookin at the 05 eclipse before i got my tC...They tried to sell me a ralliart Eclipse. Its mainly just cosmetic upgrades. If I remember correct I think Mitsu uses MOPAR now for thier acutal performance parts.
