I took the liberty of actually finding out myself, I emailed Scion and asked if they are in the making of what we believe to be the fourth addition to the Scion family.

Did anyone bother to notice that timpani.us is a webmail client used by small businesses? I highly doubt that this could be considered official Scion communication. Let the rumors continue!!!

 

At this point only Scion corporate and design teams know the goods on this next model, customer service would not know anything.

 

How about the fact that there is a clear typo in the "form letter" part of this email. I highly doubt that as well.

That is an official email from Toyota/Scion customer service.

The thing is, they sit in a building on the whole other side of Toyota's campus from the Scion HQ, they are usually low grade/starting employees and field reps/recent college grads, are usually not even car enthusiasts, and DEFINATLY aren't privy to any future model information. Only the design teams and execs would have that. It is a cool facility though, and the people in there work thier butts off.

I personally think the dL is a bogus rumor and have no idea how it got started in the first place.

 

scion e-mails have been known to be wrong before...

the xB RS2.0 for example...

but if you really read into the e-mail...it only says there is no model called DL. so they came up with a new name for the fourth model.

 

I have no doubt that Scion has a fourth, and possibly a fifth vehicle in the pipeline. I just would love to know where people came up with dL!

didn't need an email to figure this one out. It clearly said on the front, "not a concept, just an idea."

 

you know this is meaningless right? Even if low-level employees who get paid to answer John Q Nobodies email knew about release plans, you think they say "Yeah there a dL but we can't tell anyone yet."

Do me a favor call up the NSA and ask them if there's a Project Eschelon...

Well if you buy a scion,,,, you wouldn't need to fantasize about getting another one, cause you are already driving one. This thread is for those that aren't extatic with their car, but only mildly happy with it. My advice to those of you are to get modding and then you'll enjoy your car more and get off this dL No offense to those who've been on before the O6 models have started coming out. YOu guys are the ground breakers with your post to "upper management" Cause we have a lot to do with the direcition of scion here!

 

right. And if you have a girlfriend you should never have to look at another woman again, because you're already boning one...
