Default No more concept forum?

WTH happened?

Get used to a new forum just for the concept car posts and then it gets yanked?

Oh well I liked it when the concepts posts were put in this forum anyways. :D

Mazda Kabura concept
Completing the trilogy of concept cars Mazda has launched over the past six months is the Kabura, this time showcasing the abilities of Mazda's advanced design studio in California. The concept is a compact sports car for first time buyers, whose rear-drive layout is shared with the RX-8 and MX-5. Though the CX-7 launched alongside shows Mazda combining room with zoom, the Kabura is intended to be the ultimate interpretation of their 'Soul of a Sports Car' ethos: the word 'Kabura' itself is the name given to the sound of the first arrow fired in a battle, and is Mazda's metaphor for pursuing new ventures.

Nissan Urge
Designed in California with the PlayStation Generation in mind comes the Nissan Urge concept. The Urge follows concepts such as the BMW Just 4/2 shown at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show, prioritising low mass over muscle. Set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show, it is a small motorcycle-inspired sports car that combines a high-revving low-capacity engine with extensive use of aluminium for high performance. A key innovation is the colour-infused panels, while as befits a market of gamers, the cockpit is driver-orientated with both a six-speed gearbox and an integrated X-Box 360.

Citroën C-AirPlay concept
The Bologna Motor Show, Italy (1-11 December) is hosting the unveiling of Citroën's latest concept car, the new C-AirPlay. Though a B-segment car, it is shorter than the C2 while being powered by a 110PS petrol engine – useful, given the expanse of glass the concept features. With development overseen by Briton Mark Lloyd, the C-AirPlay proposes a fresh look at city cars that emphasises sensuality.
Glass 'portholes' in the doors enhance the sense of speed, while the interior features an asymmetric IP, whose taut organic sculpting seemingly relates to the Go chair by product designer Ross Lovegrove. This shares red silicon trim with the one-piece bench seat, which also integrates switchgear for the mirrors and windows. The truncated length reduces the number of seats to two, its city-bias enhanced by paddle-shift controls on the steering wheel and Stop & Start engine management for heavily trafficked streets.

And new production models.

Suzuki SX4
Suzuki will start production of the new SX4 in December, a new small SUV to be launched at the Geneva Motor Show next year. It has been developed as a joint venture between Suzuki and Fiat, who will also sell their own variation, the Sedici, and will be built in Hungary. Developed under the concept 'X-over revolution', the SX4 is available in two variants: Urban Line and Outdoor Line, bringing the exterior trim to pertain to passenger cars and SUVs respectively. Engines will range from a 1.5-liter petrol unit with 99PS to a 120PS diesel motor, which is exclusively available with a six-speed manual gearbox. The SX4 will join the recently launched Swift and Grand Vitara as Suzuki's third world-strategic-model.

Toyota Belta
Toyota has launched a new compact sedan in Japan called the Belta. Based on Toyota's design philosophy of Vibrant Clarity, its proportions differentiate it from most small three-boxers. Despite its long wheelbase, it has the tightest turning circle in its class, suiting its typical urban environment, while the efficient 1.0 or 1.3 petrol engines keep emissions and fuel consumption to a class minimum. Inside, the IP is vertically orientated, and the binnacles are centrally mounted. The Belta uses the same platform as the new Yaris, and is currently sold only in Japan.

Does "worldwide" will mean the SX4 will make to the US and if it does will the diesel package as well? As for the Belta most of us have figured it will come into the US as the next Echo or Vitz. The Mazda concept has already shown to influence its up coming model lineup such as the CX-7. And the Nissan Urge is yet another concept which they claim will come into fruition or some model will be influenced by it, I am still waiting on the Sport one.
