Default Now is the time to buy an EVO X!!

Just want to let anyone who cares know that right now until October 31st, Mitsubishi is having a 0.0% APR Financing for the 2008 Evo X GSR for 60 months. If you got good credit of 700+, you may qualify for the special program. I'm actually heading out later today to go check out two Mitsubishi dealerships. I know my credit score is 716, so I'll see what happens.

BTW, I'm also debating whether I want to just get a 2008 MazdaSpeed3, used 05 Nissan 350Z or spend 10k more and get the Evo X. What do you think?

I love the front of the X, but hate the rear.

Just get the Evo, the Speed3 is great, but it's at its potential from the factory. Any modding will result in tranny failure. You'll be disappointed at how slow the 350z is, if you've driven the Evo already.

^ Not everyone is in the gutter when it comes to finances and some people actually have jobs that are far away from letting people go for financial reasons.

Evo X's are dope....but I have also considered the mazdaspeed3's and well if the new 2010 tC doesn't live up to the hype then I'm going to be buying a mazdaspeed3 next summer. You can save a lot of money going with the mazdaspeed3, but if money isn't an issue here, I'd be all over the evo X. Would personally rather want to own the new STI over evo X but both are very beautiful cars nonetheless. Good luck with whatever you do. Great deal that Mits is putting on.

My 2 cents-
EVO os the best mix car around (JUN even tuned one so it is faster and handles better than the Nissan GTR)

4 wheel drive (traction for weather etc) 4 door (so it hauls people and stuff) full size trunk (hauls stuff better than a 2 seater sports car and yet handles better and is faster) tons of tuner parts coming or here (cheap and a lot of potential for down the road) good warranty (upgrade after the warranty is gone and you've learned to handle the power it already has)

0% interest-all you payments go to the principle-get the amount down before financing starts and it works out to be a great deal

So, yesterday (Oct 10) I went to Roseville Mistubishi to look at the cars they have on the lot and to see if I qualify for the 0% APR for 60 months. I did not want to trade in my tC, just buy the Evo X. I got there and was approached by Chet. He showed me 4 Evo X on the lot. Two were MR and the other two were GSR. The two MR were wicked white and the GSR were gray and silver. I wanted a white GSR. So he shows me all the things that I already know, but I acted stupid and dumb. We went in to do some paper work (credit check etc). I waited and then a while past and they come to me and say that I did not qualify because my income is not 3100 or more per month, but my credit is very good. So I said "okay" guess I'll come back some other time when I make more money.

This is when they held me hostage...haha...but they keep pushing the gray evo x for me to purchase. Oh and by the way, they were asking 42K before tax, title, license for the GSR...crazy huh? So I told them that I will not pay over MSRP for a GSR with SSS package and I will not pay interest, plus I want a white GSR if I were to purchase today. So, they keep on going back and forth to do work some numbers. A couple hours passed and they brought the price of the vehicle, before tax, down to 34k, so it'll be about 37k out the door. And here's the stupid part, I still won't get the 0% apr for 60 months, but will be paying 7.5% apr for 72 months...!!

They also kept pressuring me to trade in my tC, which looked hella nice in the parking lot. They actually asked me more questions about my tC more than I asked them about their Evo X. They were more impressed of my tC than I was with their Evo. If you don't know what my tC looks like, check the Blitz Blue picture thread.

So, I said ____ that!! I told them that I will go home and sleep on it and if I want their deal I will return.

Heres the funny part, I asked the salesman, Chet, if he knew of a Mazda dealership in the automall...hahaha...

The only reason I went in was because the 0% apr for 60 months lured me in...I wouldn't get the evo and pay interest on it for 5+ years. I guess it's a Mazdaspeed3 for me by the end of this year.
