Porsche Cayenne vs. Audi Q5 vs. Infinity FX35
my dad owns a 2003 cayenne S. yes, the car is amazing, but it weighs 5100 pounds. has the same interior volume as a ford escape, and it had so many problems, my dad was going to get rid of it until porsche extended his bumper to bumper warranty to 8 year/100,000 miles. at 24k miles, it needed a new transmission. and he only drives the cayenne when it is too slippery to drive his corvette, or he needs the passenger seats.
also, porsche dealerships want $210 dollars to change the oil, local mom and pop garage charges 90 dollars instead. it requires a lot of oil per change, also the oil filter is porsche specific.
the audi is probably nearly the same as the cayenne in terms of quality, price of maitenance and so on.
infiniti would be the choice by process of elimination, but i don't have any close personal experience that could really help.
what do you really need an SUV for anyway? these are luxury crossovers really. they are expensive to maintain, can't go off-road, don't have very much interior volume, they don't have 3rd row seating, so they only seat 5 people max. you'd be better off with a subaru outback/legacy sedan/wagon.
