Looks like Ractis could be a next gen xA....not feeling it though.
Will we see the Porte as the new xB? The hints to it in the t2b are none too subtle.

The xA and xB were borrowed JDM cars for the premier of Scion, but I thought that all new Scions were to be designed by the newly created Scion design team. . . which was in charge of the tC and the t2B concept which are geared toward the US market. . . but I guess they're only there for show?
And the Yaris does NOT replace the xA. . . it is geared to replace the Echo. . . and the Yaris is the same exact car as the Vitz, which is the exact same car as the Echo Hatchback sold in Canada. They are just different names for different markets. In fact, the Vitz (as it is called in Japan) was redesigned just a few months ago. And in JDM history, Toyota has sold both the Vitz and the IST (the Japanese name for the xA) along side eachother, geared towards different markets.
I really doubt that this will replace the xA for the above reasons. . . and god, is it ugly. I like the direct rip off of the Honda Jazz rear seats, a nice touch and something we will probably see in future Toyota's.
A lot of people like to cruise toyota.jp and speculate as to new models, such as the people who speculated that the Crown or Chaser X was going to be the new Avalon. But no, in fact most new high volume US models are designed here, built here, and sold to this region. The new Tundra is being designed here and will be built here, as will the new Camry.
Is it possible, sure. However, I think it is unlikely. And if that thing replaces the xA, it will about as popular as an Aztek giveaway.

It almost reminds me of a cheap looking Toyota Matrix. Too Mini Van-lookish for me. I guess wih the right mods, it could look decent, couldn't it?
"It's 1/8 your size...We shall call him Mini-Matrix!"

It looks like it has more room than an xb with the aerodynamics of an xa. I'm also curious
about the tiptronic transmission with formula one shifting on the steering wheel. It appears
to have keyless entry and keyless ignition. I see a navigation system as well as climate
control. It looks like the same VVT-I engine. That glass roof with a multistage sun screen
looks incredible though it doesn't appear to open.
If it's priced right, I think it's a great little car. When will it hit our shores?

here in Chicago, my friend has seen a Toyota of some sort. He said it looked like the new Vitz and it was orange. I remember seeing the new Chevy HHR before it was released to the public in this area as well. The car may already be here.
