a base model rsx might be close to a celica, but the type s is a whole different story

The SC will even out the hp. But as for the rattles I honestly don't have any **knock on wood**, but I still stick to the Type-S being too much for a 4cyl. I refuse to pay over 20k for a for 4cyl.

But for 22k, I'll rather get a used car with low mileage. G35, Evo, STi, BMW 3 series and Porsche Boxster S just to name a few. I'm sure the RSX don't belong in the same category as those cars. Oh well, Honda FTW!
agreed but you know a used performance car probably was driven mad hard...dunno if i could trust a used sti, evo or 350z....

I personally like the Subaru Legacy Gt Limited. Much rather have that than rsx-s. 4 doors, nicer interior, faster, and about the same money.

if you get a subaru specially the wrx sti your paying over 20k for a four banger, same for a honda in general, or mitsubishi, you won't find many cars under the 20k mark

yep, and if you get the acura body kit with it, it makes it look so much meaner, the guy I work with added heads and tails, and silver grills, his just looks mean, and it is, even though he hasn't modded it any

yea it kinda is, the new fords are tanks, they don't drive like anything, well other then a truck, and really the subaru shouldn't be in here as the rsx is a fwd car, same goes for the evo, mustang, and 350z, really there isn't a car out there you can compare a rsx type s to

you said its more of a sports car than anything mentioned in this thread. Not the sportiest FWD sports car mentioned in this thread as the only 2 fwd sporty cars that were mentioned in this thread are the tC and the rsx. We know the rsx-s is sportier than the tC unless you supercharge it, so your comment was completely erroneous if you are simply refering to fwd sports cars and eliminating all of the other sportier cars that were mentioned in this thread. Your previous comment would have been more well received simply saying: "The base rsx-s is sportier that a base tC" rather than "(the rsx-s) is more of a true/pure sporty car than anything mentioned in this thread", because that is not the case.

Wow, i'm grumpy tonight. I'm really a jerk lol

Naw, I thought the same thing, but I'm also kinda bias. But in all truth, this is old. The of course the TypeS is sportier than the tC, it's freaking built that way. I almost hate to mention it again but
tC=16980
RSX=20325
TypeS=23845

Besides didn't this start out with the post starter talking about the RSX? What's next comparing the 6cyl Camry to the New TL Type S?

probably, but theres only a few hondas that are under 20k and to find any car in the price range of a scion, that has the same options, is almost impossible, but I do love the look of the type s with their styling package

IMO
I hate the way the rsx looks....inside and out.....the only thing I hate more is the majority of the people who drive them....they think its the badest car and there the ____....
I wouldn't take a rsx....I wouldn't give it the time of day....
And people with s type....I'm like wow...u really spent that much on a car like that....hahaha u r retarded! Hahaha
The best car for the money is the tc.....
And it won't drop value as fast either....

And, between a tC and a RSX I'd choose the tC. tC's are better look'n, cheaper, compairable with performance, and toyota. Ya can't beat Acra dealer service tho.
thats way 90 percent of type-s' out there are dropped

i guess the celica "looks" faster
they both go for 24k back when
the s has 20 more hp
the celica was lighter
but the s has the huge aftermarket support and gains
i really like the tCs seats, more so than my type-s
but i like my dash and ac/stereo console more
the only thing i hate about the tC interior is the swiggily plastic design they have on the door and dash, looks cheap imo
i really hate my stock stereo, i'll vote the tC for that
but the 6 disc changer and climate control is nice (not sure if the tC has that also)

you are a good example of a fanbio
errr...in your case, a fangirl
how can you judge a car before you even drive it
also i didn't know that scion has a better resale value than acura
scion hasn't been around long enough to know, wait a few more years for that
isn't toyota=honda in resale value
i guess not, according to the scion owners on scionlife
