I like the cube's body styling, the front end kicks ___ and the asymmetric back is cool looking. I haven't sat inside it or driven it, but if we're just going on looks i like it more than the xb.
I'm sold to the Cube. don't get me wrong, i still love my xB and use it as my daily driver. I've been looking for a low gas milage car that will seat at least 6. SUV and minivan just don't count.
when are they bringing this here? if its less than $20K i'll even buy it cash.

I agree on the Nissan quality issue. I disassemble wrecked vehicles everyday (no exotics) and Honda & Toyota beat everybody hands down in the areas of fit, quality of materials, ergonomics, and built in safety. Please don't get me wrong--Nissan's not bad. I just feel that they could do much better on the build quality than they do. Infiniti (made by Nissan) has a great degree of build quality. I would guess that Nissan saves it for the high dollar models. It would seem that they only invest the extra effort in their "flagship" vehicles. Obviously a $$$ issue, but I don't feel that it would cost Nissan that much more to step it up.
I do like the front end of the Cube better than my beloved xB (no fat lip), but I don't think that I would buy one due to my lack of faith in Nissan quality.
I would find a way to morph the Cube's front end on to my xB before I purchased a Cube. In fact, I just might look into that.

FYI, the Cube didn't copy the xB's design, it's been around longer than the xB.
Also, Toyota did not invent the small boxy-type car. There are 10 bizzillion different models like this from every manufacturer in Japan.
The xB is nothing new, it's just new to Americans.
Don't like it...looks like they tried to inbreed a Element and an xB. Third row seating?? Form the rearend collisions I have seen on this site, the only people that you would want in the third row are people that you do not like very much. The one thing that I will give props to is the rear door, looks as if it swings out instead of up, that looks pretty cool. Just my opinion.
I like the cube based on looks and I like that how the back door opens sideways. Dont get me wrong, I like the ones that open upwards but I went to open up one on a Chevy Trailblazer and the dumb thing near lifted me in the air with it.
But if I had to choose between an xb and the cube I'd most likely go for the xb(or get both) .

'98 Cube:

It isn't even that boxy.
I like them both. They are both "controversial" designs that I like. Out of the blocks tho', I'd take the xB over the cube since I feel that the xB looks better, slightly more agressive. The roundness of the cube turns me off a little.
But, you throw a kit on the cube and it's neck and neck with the xB in my book.

I like the xB's mean-face, squared-jaw, and stone-look with a fat lip. It reminds me of a scaled version of a mack truck. Although the Cube's concept of efficiency, utilitarianism, and environmental/global conservatism is great, it looks like a bastard child of an Element and an xB.
But I used to think that an xB looked like the bastard child of the Hummer, but now I love the xB and laugh at the silly mom struggling for eight minutes and twenty-two seconds to pull her Hummer into a parking space at the grocery store.
Long lives the Box (no matter who builds it)!

i like both, and will buy the cube, and keep my xb,i like funky small boxes.
I like the xB better, but I love the Cube, its great.
After I sat in one about two years ago at the L.A. autoshow
I got a good look at it, and it seems like a fun car, alot of potential.
Another boxy wagon on the road is good news.
