umm, like previously stated, the xb and xa are wagons.
scion does not need another one.

have'n said that, wagons are cool.
my parents 1st toyota was a '71 corolla wagon, white with slot mags and roof rack.
very very cool look'n.
I'd love to have a modern version.

Oh. Now the xA is a wagon too?

I see.

How about a Mini Cooper? Is that a wagon? I guess if it had 4 doors you guys would call it a wagon, right?

I just found out that there is a scion wagon. It was seen being unloaded at the docks in houston. I was told that it looks like a 3/4 scale dodge magnum.

yeah. that's different than the other pics i've seen. so it's either another toyota wagon. but if that's what all the hubub is about it would most certainly never wear a scion badge.

Well, some people like traditional wagons that actually offer more cargo room (with the seats UP) than a sedan the same size would.

Most people shopping specifically for a WAGON are doing so for practical reasons, not only for how they look, so they aren't likely to choose a stubby little 5 door car with virtually no room behind the rear seats.

That said, I don't see them ever making a TRUE Scion WAGON because REAL wagons are "uncool" in America these days (hence the rise of the SUV) and the Scion brand is first and foremost about being "cool" for Gen Y'ers.

I'd love to see them bring back the Camry wagon, complete with dual rear wipers. Those were pretty sweet.

The xB is a wagon. Just ask the Japanese tuning car magazines based only on wagons. You'll find bBs. But....sorry no IST's. The xA isnt a wagon.

My thoughts:
xb/bb - compact 5-door wagon
xa/ist - compact 5-door hatch
tc - compact 2 door

two doors can't be wagons, it can be a 2 door hatch though.

I think toyota needs a two door hatch with a high redline. It looks like the Yaris hatch might be it too. From the pictures it looks like it doesn't redline until 7,500-8,000rpm but i haven't seen a close enough shot yet of the rpm gauge. If it is, i'm buying one.

Two door wagons are refered to as "shooting brakes"

Don't ask me why, but there is a name for that specific kind of vehicle.

I just read a post on another forum about Shooting Brakes. They were originally made for hunters (hence the shooting part). Brake, apprently, is a French word for wagon or something like that.
