Default Since I totaled the Turbo tC.....My New Car!! *Finally PICS*

Alright guys so some of you may know that i had totaled my Turbo tC this past Easter Sunday, and after about 2 months of insurance crap i finally got a check and a new car...

I was looking for months at everything, WRX, TL, RSX-S, RX8, S2K, G35's....it all and after getting around to test drive a few cars i narrowed the list down to Acura TL, RSX-S. S2000, and RX8....then the list came down to S2K and RX8 haha....

SOOO I picked up a 2005 Mazda RX-8 GT Ti-Gray with 34k miles on the clock

Car came with:

HID's
Bose Premium Sound
Heated Leather Seats
18'' Rims
6spd of course
LSD in the Rear
Flawless leather i mean it only has 34k miles on it for an 05

The car is a blast to drive, redlining at 9k with, and handles like a dream kinda scary actually this is my frist RWD car and im still feeling it out especially in the wet weather...

THe car does dog in low RPM's due to the lack of torque but once your above 4k the car really opens up they base at 238hp...

The interior of the cars Mazda really got right its so comfortable and extremely nice....

I will post pics up after the crappy rains goes away it has literally rained like everyday in June in NEPA

I never thought i was going to the leave the toyota family but nothing in their lineup gets me besides the supra and i didnt want to do another TC everything happens for a reason so i moved on....

As for your friend who tuned the engine, what kind of tuning did he do, as far as boost a good amount must be done to keep these things realiable however simple boltons like the TC dont provide much gain in hp so i dont see how much issues he could of had with boltons, unless he got AP tune..

The only thing i dislike is the lack of power in low rpm ranges, but once it gets moving it moves pretty dang good...

also all the options and creature comforts of the interior and ride are excellent...

yeah it was when he started boosting he was only running 6psi and killed the engine, can't remember which exact set up he had, I know he was using a AEM ems, I'll have to call him up to get the info on the rest of the set up

Most likely a greddy kit, they are quite popular, ya let me know about the setup im intersted to see if he upgraded the seals to a bigger mm and what not because from the research ive been doing on boost ive read they can be reliable if done right, not just bolt on and go....

yeah he was running the greddy kit with a garret bb turbo(he didn't remember what size it was but said it was at anything a size smaller than the one that came with the kit) and aem ems system for management even had it at a modest tune, didn't change anything else unless it was in the kit had the shop to the modest street tune since he used it for daily driving and just want more go.

How does the RX-8 GT's lack of low end grunt compare to your GTS, SVicks?
Interested since my ride is a GTS as well.

Horrible gas milage hahaha but i was use to putting premium in the TC so thats no shock and when i boosted i didnt get the best gas mialge in that either sooo no real complaints although the TC on the higway out of boost was miuch better
