Cobb DP, neck-down delete, 3 inch rest of the way back. Accessport. done. Reliable, AWD, much fun to be had. Is it going to be driven daily?
However if your building a dedicated race car which you dont mind fixing all the time, go EVO. 2.3L big turbo. yum. But that would just be a stupid street car.

lol i like the boxer engine hahaha....and i would never buy an is250...lol i drove those all the time when i worked at lexus and couldnt bare the turtleness of those things haha
Why buy a race / rally car for a daily driver? Pick ride quality, comfort and reliability or handling / speed, but rarely can you have both without a lot of $$. Also, if it's used, unless you personally know the seller, I would bet the previous owner was less than gentle with the shifts and redline.
My suggestion, get something comfortable and reliable for a D/D, then buy a project car to mod / track / etc. You won't feel nearly as bad when the motor pops. I know this from personal experience, which is why I now have two 1gen xB's, one for work, one for play, and am in the middle of an engine build that will be the third motor on the modded one.

The cobb 3 inch DP necks down to 2.5 right before the cat-back section. Cut it out, and replace with 3 inch pipe. I would say get another DP but Cobb's bellmouth is superior to all the others. Also dont wast your money on an intake on the scooby unless you go bigger turbo.
