Supra or RX-7?

Okay, so I'm beginning to get bored with the tC and annoyed with the little issues which are beginning to come up (rattles, squeaks, etc). I looked into getting boost, but not sure if I want to throw 4-6k into the car, to have 250-300FWHP, when I could sell the car and find a 93 RX-7 or a 93-98 Supra and have the same monthly payments as the tC. So, which would you rather pick, RX-7 ($15-21,000 and ready to blow up at 100,000 miles) or Supra ($19-23,000).
you need to look at the pros and cons of keeping a car that is reliable, but oh no! has a few squeaks and rattles.
as far as having the same monthly payments, it is more expensive to finance a used car then a new car.
also, you have no certainty that the car was properly maintained and the fact that there is no warranty.
also, buying a used car is like buying somebody else's problems, and i gaurentee you that any rx7 or supra has been beaten on, people don't buy fast and powerful sports cars to baby them.
don't get me wrong, i love both those cars, and would love to have one, but i would never rely on it to be a daily driver.
now it is all up to you since it is your car, your money your life etc. but don't make a rash decision that you could regret down the road. take the time to consider the possible pros and cons of trading in your tc for one of those cars.

go with a supra but im biased. i had a choice between the two but you see where i went. both are going to have maintenance issues but they are both nice dream cars. i have my second car and it was a god send. i fixed up my supra (t88, fuel system, bla bla bla) and it was always down while the kinks were being worked out. if youre just gonna go bpu then youre safe with it as a daily. the motor is bullet proof but no one says anything about the other parts that break :X
Having owned an RX7 (94) and driven several Supra's I can say this. The Supra is more of a muscle car, the RX7 is more like a very fast go-cart. I think the RX7 is more of a fun car everyday. The Supra tends to be all or nothing and doesnt handle or brake as well. It's probably cheaper to make more power on the Supra however.

The more and more I'm seeing stuff on RX7's, the more I want one lol. I know the Supra will be a lot cheaper to make power (BCU and full exhaust alone put 350 to the wheels), but if I want to go any higher it will become a project, and everyone knows using a project as a daily driver is the worst thing possible to do. I'm liking the fact that the Rex is a much smaller car (600 lbs lighter, 9 inches shorter than the Supra and has the same interior room, minus the rear seats of course).
I'm still not entirely sure, it will probably come down to which ever one will be easier to buy when the time comes.

i'd say rx7.... hands up.
..and if you can afford the veilside kit.. WHOO HOO!
To me, the Supra would be more of a hassle than fun.
oh ya... sure the Supra is supra-fast... but the 7 has S T Y L E.

Wait...your going to trade/sell in your 2005+ car for a car over 10 years old?
Like most of these people, I would love to have either of those cars, but getting rid of your new(ER) daily driver for an older sports car is just asking for trouble, especially if its just because a few rattles and noises. Car payments may be the same, but think about your insurance, there is NO way you'd pay the same amount.
if you are gonna get an rx7 and modifying it then expect at least something similar to stage 2...

anything less is just asking for the motor to give in.

Also for insurance, I already looked into it and it really isn't much more than my tC, for basic coverage anyway. I wouldn't be considered the primary driver of the vehicle, considering I'm still on my parents policy, so I don't have too much to worry about with the whole insurance thing.
