Default is the tC the same as the ccX?

Would you purchase this car if Scion manufactured it?

I remember seeing this car about 10 months back. When I saw the ccX concept, I was immediately attracted, because I had been saying for the past 3 years that someone should come out with a car that would be the modern day CRX. I mean look at this thing:

Is this the concept for what we now know as the tC? or is it an entirely different car?

If it is a different car, will this ever be manufactured?

In my opinion, this, along with the xA, xB, and tC would give a Scion a very distinctive and intriguing line that no other company could offer, and with the addition of either a luxury sedan (I know that it would cost over 20K), Scion would have an all encompassing line of cars.

The only way I would ever get this car is if it performed like a mad man. Yes it's different, but its pretty ugly in my opinion. I do feel though that it would go good in the scion line up, but it would have to stay under $20k. Thats why I doubt scion will have a "luxury" car. I feel it defeets scions purpose of having affordable cars for the younger generation. Although, if they did put out a luxury car, it might attract a different buying group. But i doubt that'll happen, i mean cause scion was created for the youngins. But who knows what the future may bring.

The xB has its cons as far as looks go but I like the overall design scheme very well...same goes for the xA & tC. But this ccX...well, I see it as a streamlined Aztek and that is VERY bad. Unless this car could do 0-60 in under 6 seconds and sold under $18,000, count me out.

the ccX is ugly... i'd take a 2005 honda crx if it comes out over the ccx anyday but i'd take the tC over the crx and ccx anyday also.

Wow. that crx is slick look'n.

IMO the ccX is very unattractive. The tC is far better look'n.

Wow, I'd love to see the CRX but Honda already has the Civic Si and Acura RSX..unless they disontinue the Si i dont think it'd make sense for them to release it here in the states....damn it looks really good.

i just found out something... the photo is photochopped. the "CRX" is really a honda insight. i knew it was too good to be true.

Insight

"CRX"

Yeah I thought it was kind of obvious that the first one was an insight... I just thought somebody might have modded the crap out of it. Wouldn't that have been silly?

Still I like that concept drawing for whatever that little blue honda is. Looks like a less eggy Civic Si. Where did you get that drawing?

djimpak, you just threw me off the tC bandwagon!!!

Seriously, if Honda comes out with another CRX, I'm ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OVER IT!!! The only requirement it needs is to be about the same dimentions of the old one!!!

I am super down with a huge rear space where I can rip the useless plastic seats out and have a kick ___ two seater that is about the size of a shopping cart...

Obviously it has to have a pretty big engine to compete with cars of today... I'd say honda gotta put in a decent 4 banger in A CAR by now... (Aside from the S2000 ofcourse)

Give me a 2.5L Honda engine and a car similar to the first CRX...

djimpak.... You just killed the tC for me hahaha... Well I'm not totally off, but hell who would of thought the insight would be so PIMP without the overhang? Mod anyone? LOL

I've always wanted a Peugeot 206 for the longest time... My aunt in HK has one and I would get one if they were sold here...

I thought that pic of the "2005 crx" looked a bit off, the wheel wells arent round, their are 3 flat spots on the rear, so it looked like either a poor job on designing the car, or a photochopped car. True, that would be sweet to have, and I had no idea that honda actually had intended on returning the CRX, I thought they only killed good cars. Lets see, the CRX, then the Del Sol (had a HUGE trunk), Prelude and the last gen Civic Si coupe, which destroys the current Si hatch in every aspect, except for cost. I am happy that they brought the Euro Accord to the US, but they marked it up and put it under their "luxury line" (ripoff), Acura, as the TSX. Same for the RSX, a far better looking car than the Si, but too pricey.

If honda actually brought back the CRX, I may have to second guess the tC, since my attraction to it is that it is almost like a modern day CRX, even though it has the almost exact specs of my 94 accord.

Well, either way, tC is out in June. If honda ACTUALLY plans on releasing the CRX, they will say something by July or August. I am going to stick with the tC for now.

KAuss, hehe sorry. i've thought about the CRX, if it ever comes out, also. first time i saw it, i was like... daymm.. i would get a CRX but it doesnt seem like it will be out anytime soon. so i'd stick with the tC.

the prelude is said to be back up in the honda line in a few years from what i read from vtec.net

TheBigGuyRy, i got the drawing from www.crx.ca

Yes... it is. My cousins have 3 (yes THREE) 2002 civic si's. I don't think that it is that great of a car, but they picked them up new for 14 and change, so realistically, you have a comparable car to the tc if you spend 3k on bolt-ons. Unforunately, it is a TERRIBLY UGLY car. Its depressing to see a car that has to be modified to look decent.

Oh yeah, and I found another set of pics for the "2005 crx"

Its a very clean photoshop, almost believable.

Still think the tC looks better. The last two look like a smaller rsx, I can just imagine it being released as the new "Acura CSX". It totally has smaller rsx headlights and the same curves.

Hell better yet, just save everyone the trouble and put a S2000 engine in the OLD CRX... (gotta put a bit more driver leg room, I hit my knee on the steering wheel and I'm only about 5'10")
