Default traded in my car for this...***pics inside***

So I finally did it and took in my beloved but aging 02 WRX and traded it in for a new 05 Evo, a car leaps and bounds more refreshing (and quicker too =) )

These are some pretty bad pics, but hey i took them about 15 minutes after leaving the dealer, will take the time and do much better quality ones later, anyways hope you enjoy them.

haha i loved owning a wrx, but i guess i'll have to take 'em out now

side shot

gotta give some free advertising, they gave me a great deal

you can see my tC (aka the commuter) in the sitting in the background

that's such a dinky speedometer, love the center tach

the wickedly tunable 4G63

here's the vortex generator aka "sharkfins", had it installed the same time i was buying the car.

just wait .. you better save up for a replacement motor. cuz they don't last. 2 of my friends with them have allready blown the motors. read up about it. 20.whatever psi is a whole sheist load for a daily driver.

i'm gonna try to keep the motor stock (we'll see how long that lasts) so i can take advantage of the 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty if needed. this car at factory stock is plenty fast enough for me, so if i have any problems then the dealer can fix it for free.

One big big big major plus over the WRX is the lack of turbo lag which just absolutely plagues the 'Rex. This car launches from the get go and has better low end torque. Although the flat-4 and blow off valve of the WRX sounds way cooler, the recirculating BOV of the EVO (although less dramatic sounding) is much more effective. I'm a happy camper

It's an awesome looking car.

Just that huge wing and those nubby things on the back of the roof that put me off of them...

To me, in person, not too impressed. For over $30,000, I feel money is better spent elsewhere, but to each his own.
Indeed, specs on it are bad-a$$, I just don't care for the design and price.

Oh, and don't use a buffer on the carbon fiber. A guy I know did it and totally melted the wing.

Hehe, it's all good...

...Most paid at MSRP $31,294 or above. I paid ~$27,600 (through hard negotiating) so it's roughly about 10 grand more than what I bought my tC for. So my logic was simple: Is was worth $10K over a tC to get a factory turbo (and bad@$$ intercooler), AWD, Brembo brakes, Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, Enkei wheels, some sticky Yokohama Advans, strut bar, front + center + rear differentials, and so on....and also millions of looks everywhere i have driven so far.

I'm not trying to make pitch sale for my car and i know this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but i feel that the value is there, especially with the all the aftermarket goodies, the rarity mystique factor, and the benefits of an awd turbo. It's a supercar priced for under $30K (at least for me it was) that's disguised as a grocery getter. Besides i was looking for a replacement/upgrade for my old WRX and this certainly takes the cake.

when you post, they print out the story, have their analists see what possible warrenty-covered damage was done, thats if you dont post what damage was done, then they just sit and wait until someone comes in with that kind of damage done to their car, as a few little questions, and test a few little things, and bing bang boom, they deside its you, and your warrenty is VOID.
