not sure if this has been posted but a tree has owned another rich bastard...

Here is the story:
Last Friday night a Lamborghini Gallardo speeding through a rainy Fort Worth, Texas struck a tree and split in half when the driver lost control after hydroplaning across standing water. The violent accident left the passenger compartment smashed against the tree while the rear half of the car continued on, stopping yards away. Both passenger and driver suffered serious injuries with one of the occupants reportedly losing a foot (ouch). they're right trees are good for the planet, by attempting to take these people out from the gene pool. Hurray for trees, especially big ones

 

The driver lost control while hydroplaning & that means he should've been killed? & he's a bastard cuz he's rich? C'mon kids.

I really would like to know how fast he was going. The damage IS severe, but I wanna hear the numbers, obviously he WAS speeding or the damage wouldn't have been as bad as it looks.

But it ____es me me off to hear people call others bastards, & wish death upon them because of their money.

 

if you are going at 15 mph, will your car really hydroplane, hit a tree, and split in half? Being an engineer and an engineering student for the last 8 years, I can tell you, no.

judging on how it wraps around the tree, he has to be at least going at highway speeds.

It's NOT the rich people that we don't like (rich people paid for my education and gave me jobs), but it's the people who thinks they are rich so they are obligated to wrap cars around trees. I see a lot of millionaires following the speed limit and leaving trees alone, and I like them.

 

true, he shouldn't die, but i'd like to think that if i struck it rich and could buy a fleet of expensive cars that cost more them most peoples houses, i'd be able to stay out of trouble and not crash them less i was really hammering it on the track.

I've driven in the rain with bald tires before ( I was broke and couldn't buy new tires at the time), all I did was drive slower, problem solved (at least temporarily).

I'm sure he could afford tires. Not to mention, the width of those tires are probably gigantic (more contact with the ground, less chance to hydroplane, as long as he had good tread).

Everything on the car is top notch. So for him to screw it up that bad is definitely, poor driving/judgement.

Glad they survived though.

On a side note, I hate driving in the rain!!!

It's almost stupid wide, it limits my tire options like crazy. I got sponsored by Toyo & 315s were the biggest they make. I'm runnin on stretched tires (stretched 1"), & I'm always paranoid one's gonna blowout.

 

I would be scared too >.<

 

maybe you should just pick out some slightly narrower rims?

 

I like the wow factor of telling people I have 20x13s to be honest, plus the car's rarely driven (for now). & keep in mind, I'm a foot wider than the stock tC.
