Ford was mentioned in the thread so the ad parser called up a Ford ad. Nothing to do with ScionLife.

If you used Firefox with Adblock and you wouldn't have noticed it at all!

Take 10 minutes, add the Adblock plugin and subscribe to EzElement+EzList, and ads are history! I hate it when I have to use a browser that doesn't have these.

Looks like the Soul is doing OK:

http://www.tradingmarkets.com/.site/...0News/2316556/

Kia, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Co. (KSE:005380), sold 3,228 units of the Soul in the U.S. last month, while Toyota sold 2,036 units of the Scion xB there for the same period.

Ya know i wasnt really liking these but then i saw 2 in downtown San Diego and they arent to bad up close. Now would i buy one "No" but for what they are not bad. They are very quirky like the first gen xb and will prolly reach to the simliar crowd that enjoyed the first gen so much.

Slower than an xB1?! Which model did you drive, the 1.6 or the 2.0?

I dislike the way the models run on the Soul. To get the 2.0 you also have to buy the alloys and the larger tires. I'd like the power without the thumpin' ride of the rubber-band tires, thanks.

Ah, well, someone will probably make a swap plus a few bucks for their steelies.

I don't trust a car maker that lets Hamsters drive their cars!
Would you buy a car from a Hamster? I hope not. Haha

Drove the sport(2,0) in auto...and compared to my manual xb1 i was slower off the line... it may be better in a manual but my wife will not let me get manual again since she can't drive it

Umm, she could learn. Tell her she can have the $1000 that you would have spent for the automatic to blow on hats or something.

My wife didn't even consider the auto! I checked the specifications _before_ I signed the paperwork!

The 2.0 gas mileage isn't as great as I'd hope it to be. However, it's got quite a bit more horsepower than an xB1.

According to the EPA the 1.6 gets 26/31 while the 2.0 gets 24/30. While the EPA numbers don't reflect reality they are good for comparisons. It doesn't seem that the 2.0 kills mileage all that badly.

The xB1 gets 26/31 (new style test), the same as the 1.6 Soul, which is surprising considering the extra 100cc and more weight.

I think that most folks will opt for the 2.0, particularly since you have to get it to get a lot of the other desirable features.

Now if Kia would get off the stick and market the Soul Hybrid they could leapfrog both Toyota and Nissan!

I finally saw a Soul the other day! It was a cool-looking green color but the car itself is still ugly! I hate the roof slant to the rear of the car.

I'll settle for a Cube with the Ginormous Package on it!...
